Watch Olympus Has Fallen (2013) Online Free – This film was surprisingly good. It’s been a while since I’ve seen such an enjoyable action film like this one. Actually, I’ve been starving for one for quite some time. So much so that after being disappointed by crap like the first two Expendables, the Transformers sequels, the Total Recall remake, etc., I wanted to give this a 10. Of course, this film wasn’t perfect but was still a very enjoyable film.

As others have said, this was basically a Die Hard film in the White House. Actually, this should’ve been another Die Hard film. But don’t hold this against it. It was very well done. In fact, it was better than some of the Die Hard movies themselves.

The action was graphic and realistic, the cast featured quality actors, the characters had enough depth to make us care about them and the story (though not original) did add more weight to the importance of what the protagonist needed to do. Add this all up and you had a film that had enough emotional impact to make you care about what happened, unlike many recent action films that seemed more like mindless video games than movies.

What I really like was the depiction of the bad guys. They were clearly bad and proved they were not messing around. Repeatedly. It’s just one more reason for you to pull for the good guy.

But what separated this from the others was that it was well executed and there were just so many things going for it that it didn’t matter. Watch the Expendables and you’ll appreciate this a lot more. This was one of the better action films in recent years.

Watch The Croods (2013) online free – A name most bizarre to be given as a title of a movie, but the content, just fantastic! I may even add to say that Dreamworks has lived up to its expectations in delivering exceptionally amazing animated movies and their latest release, The Croods is no exception. The story begins by introducing us to a rather diverse family of a couple, their three children and an old grandmother(who just wouldn’t die) and setting is a prehistoric age where they are supposedly the only living humans.

Watch The Croods Online Free -The movie then goes on to bring an extra character just named “Guy” and his sidekick Belt(an animal) who goes on to proclaim that the end of the world is near and their only hope for survival was to aim for the mountains far ahead. A simple plot it seems no doubt, but the way the movie was crafted was just fantastic and if that wasn’t enough, you might actually find yourself laughing a couple of times no matter what age you might be of.

It might not be the best film out there, but it certainly is a great one which has its own comedic and adventurous moments, a movie for the whole family out there and to all those who prefer watching it in 3-D, the effects are seriously good in this film and your choice would be a valid one. All in all, no matter what age you may be, “The Croods” might just bring back a smile or a few memories of those old childhood fantasies where anything was possible.

Watch The Host (2013) Online Free -“The Host” is part of a new genre I would call “sci fi for chicks”. If it bothers you to see a “soft” science-fiction film with love-sick young people, noble suicides, impossibly handsome young men, aliens with emotions, etc., don’t go see this one. It’s the old male v. female dilemma: Should we kill the hated aliens or coax them out and make friends with them?

Watch The Host Online Free -There was not enough exposition at the start about the horrors of the alien invasion. The writers and producers seem to have assumed that moviegoers would understand why the characters want to “remain human” and why they would refer to a human-hosted alien as “it”. Perhaps it was better explained in the book.

The device of Melinda’s consciousness remaining fully alert, and Wanda and Melinda actually talking to each other for our benefit, might put some moviegoers off. (I’m not sure. I haven’t read the other reviews.) However, once I suspended my disbelief, I was able to go with the flow.

They threw the male viewers a bone: Kruger and Ronan, to start. there were a few car and motorcycle chases (involving futuristic-looking chrome vehicles), and shoot outs. Hey, this is a Hollywood movie, after all.

The theme of humans hosting aliens is not original, but they took the concept in a different direction. The movie is slick and well made, but there were a few clichés and many, many aspects of the story that were glossed over, left unexplained or just not realistic. The survivors here were mostly young Hollywood pretty boys, not a ragged group of tough survivors (like on “Walking Dead”, for example.)

Watch The Host (2013) Online Free -Still, I appreciated some of the details of the “good alien” theme, like a society of honest and trustworthy aliens that doesn’t need cash to function, or where they will simply give you their car if you need it, or where everyone drives at the speed limit. (God forbid we should have a society like that! Kill them!)

Watch G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013) Online Free – The good- GI Joe Retaliation is infinitely bigger, louder and thankfully so- better than its predecessor. Breath-taking, non stop action, great VFX, deadpan heroes and femme fatals , great soundtrack and gizmo’s that will shame 007, it ticks most of the boxes for a summer action flick. The bad- not that the leads are great actors, but back to back to back action set pieces leave little room for acting, the dialogs are as banal as they can get, and the climax is cartoonishly over the top.

Joe: Retaliation Online Free -This is the sentence Beachhead used in the original series when the Joes are left with no planes, no vehicles and very little ammunition, at the same time an whole army of well armed and geared Cobra units is banging at the door. From that moment on you get a few minutes of thrilling counterattack till almost the end of the episode, this movie gives it to you almost from the beginning.

The story is down to the basics of the GIJOE-Cobra conflict, Cobra wants the world and conjures up a sophisticated evil scheme to achieve it. Agents from both sides use their unique talents and skills to get the upper hand and ensure victory. this movie had everything I loved about the original GIJOE and was way better than “The Rise of Cobra”.

Watch G.I. Joe: Retaliation Free Online- Again, thumbs up on including Ninja action, can never get enough of that! The special effects and props were amazing, and the costumes were wonderfully crafted. If you looking for an hour an half of action, GIJOE Retaliation is the movie I’d recommend whether you’re a fan or not.

Watch Spring Breakers (2012) Online Free – The second I heard about Spring Breakers, I was like “Whoa!” and then when I learned that former Disney Channel-ettes Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens were starring along with one of my favorite actors, James Franco, I vowed to see this theatrically (and I did).

Watch Spring Breakers (2012) Online -In this acid-trip-colorful road flick, college girls Faith (Gomez), Candy (Hudgens), Brit (Ashley Benson), and Cotty (Rachel Korine) plan the best spring break of their lives, which commences when Brit and Candy rob a fast-food restaurant and Cotty is the getaway driver. Although she is shocked by their actions, Faith and the girls trek to Florida, where they indulge in sex, drugs, and alcohol (as many teen films would cliché). However, when they’re arrested after another party, the girls are bailed out and taken in by local second-rate rapper Alien (Franco), who flirts endlessly with them, especially Faith, who becomes uncomfortable by the new surroundings and leaves once she learns that Alien is a drug dealer.

Watch Spring Breakers (2012) Free Online -Franco is flawless; his sly ways and cool-calm demeanor make him out to be what is probably the film’s best performance. When asked of his sensitive side, he begins to sing Britney Spears’ “Everytime” with his own piano accompaniment as a montage of him and the girls on a crime spree passes. I will honestly admit that I did sing along.

The film is visually stunning; the colors emphasizing the images on screen. This new venture from independent ex-Dogme 95 director Harmony Korine (yes, the husband of Rachel) is sure to become a cult favorite.

Watch The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) Online Free – The story is of Luke, a motorcycle stuntman, who quits his job after he finds out that Romina, played by Eva Mendes, his ex-girlfriend was pregnant and had his child. The trouble is, she married another man. Luke is torn between his new found love for his son, and his inability to hold a steady job. So, to take care of his ‘family’ Luke begins to rob banks, along with his friend, excellently portrayed by Ben Mendelsohn. Of course, this puts him on a collision course with Bradley Cooper’s idealistic cop.

Watch The Place Beyond the Pines Online Free – Not wishing to ruin the plot, I won’t say anymore. When I first heard the plot, I was immediately struck by the similarities to another excellent Ryan Gosling movie, Drive. In that film, Gosling plays a stunt driver, who takes on a job to help his neighbor. However similar the plot may be, the two films are complete opposites. The Place Beyond The Pines is a character driven study of morality and legacy, while Drive is closer to the genre of an action film. However, the two films do have one more thing in common, they both showcase excellent Ryan Gosling performances.

Watch The Place Beyond the Pines Online In this film, Gosling’s would be father, doing what he thinks is best, is at times aggravating and intensely emotional. It’s a great performance, and a tricky one to master. But Gosling gets it, and turns in one of his best performances. That’s not to say the other performances aren’t spectacular as well. Eva Mendes turns in some of her best work in years, playing a woman torn between her desire to be with Gosling, and to have a normal family life with her husband. Bradley Cooper turns in his best work yet, playing a cop torn between his want for justice and his powerful ambition. As mentioned above, Ben Mendelsohn turns in some great work as does Ray Liotta. Mention must go to newcomer Dane Dehaan, performing in some of the film’s most gut-wrenching moments.
